Music from Stanley is a live performance and radio series created by Ryan Peck, a local musician, promoter, professor and Dan's longtime friend.
The first half of Music from Stanley takes place every summer on the lawn at Redfish Lake in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains. Featuring an eclectic mix of some of the Northwest's best musicians, every show is a noteworthy experience. In the fall, Music from Stanley brings the sounds of the summer to an hour-long radio show that airs on public radio stations across Idaho.
In 2005, Dan wrote "Stanley," an instrumental that appears on the album Strangest Places, as a theme for Music from Stanley. In 2009 and now in 2010, he takes over the reigns as producer and host of the radio show.
So tune in! The radio series began its 6th year on Sept. 18th, and airs every week on KBSU (Saturdays at 2pm), KBSW (Saturdays at 2pm) and KISU (Fridays at 10pm) for 12 weeks until Dec. 4th.
